
Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, opened in 1937. It is a comprehensive teaching hospital with strong overall strength, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of heart, liver, kidney, and lung diseases. It has been awarded the Shanghai Civilized Unit for 32 consecutive years and has received honors such as the National Civilized Unit and the National May Day Labor Award. As the leading unit in building a comprehensive national medical center, its seven functional centers include the International Exchange and Cooperation Center, among others. In the Fudan version of the *China Hospital Specialty Rankings*, its General Practice department ranks first nationwide. The Cardiology department is a key discipline of the Ministry of Education. The hospital has signed agreements with over 60 domestic enterprises to jointly tackle key problems and conduct high-level international multi-center collaborations. It is equipped with advanced facilities such as the Tomotherapy system (Tomo), PET-CT, and the Da Vinci robotic surgical system.
