Founded in 1907, originally named Guangci Hospital, it is a large comprehensive teaching hospital integrating medical care, teaching, and research, with many renowned medical experts from home and abroad. It has been awarded the title of "National Civilized Unit" for many consecutive years and ranks among the top in the China Hospital Rankings published by the Hospital Management Institute of Fudan University.
